Guillermo Garmendia Leal in his book "Fundadores de Cerralvo" also lists a March 1, 1753 Census of Mier which shows them as having 5 children. Spouse: Francisco Xavier SALINAS. Francisco Xavier SALINAS and Maria Rosa LONGORIA were married after January 8, 1735. Rosa Longoria and Francisco Xavier Salinas were third cousins. They moved from Camargo to Mier sometime between May 31, 1750, and Mar 1, 1753, as on the former date they were included in the Camargo Census and on the latter date they were in the Mier Census.

Maria Sostenes LONGORIA Villarreal was born about 1832. Her age is given as "about 83 years" in the certified copy of Will and Probate, filed July 9, 1917, recorded in Book 4, page 485, Deed Records, Brooks County, Texas, indicating a birthdate of 1834. The 1860 Census shows her age as 28, indicating a birthdate of 1832. Josefina Vera states that Sostenes was 4 years old in 1835 when Lucas Longorias was 7 years old, indicating she was born in 1831. My best guess is she was born in 1832, but that would mean she was born before her parents married. She signed a will on June 3, 1916 in La Grulla, Starr County, TX, USA. Will was probated in No. 240, County Court, Starr County.

Sostenes lived the last 8 or 10 years of her life with her niece, Gregoria Longoria and her husband Jose P. Vera in Grulla, Texas. At the time of her death, she was blind and according to Jose P. Vera's affidavit, she was 83 years old. She signed her will with a mark as she could not write. She also only spoke Spanish. The will was witnessed by Jose P. Vera, Alberto Solis, Cruz Solis, Amado Vera and Dr. Crisoforo Solis, her attending physician. She left all her estate to her niece, Gregoria, and her nephew, Alberto Solis, because they were the ones who took care of her in her old age. Dr. Solis stated the cause of death was "old age".
