On January 17, 1848, Agapito Longoria was conveyed 3-1/2 leagues of land in the San Juan de Carricitos grant by Juan Antonio Balli Cavazos. On April 5, 1864, Agapito Longoria received another conveyance of 2 leagues of land in the San Juan de Carricitos grant from Juan N. Cavazos y Cardenas. I am assuming both of these conveyances were land purchases. These lands embraced the sites known as Palmital and Loma Alta. On March 26, 1874, Agapito Longoria sold his interest in those 5-1/2 leagues of land to Richard King for 2750 dollars. The deed is written in English and there is some doubt as to the authenticity of Agapito Longoria's signature; however, a notary public by the name of Henry Klahn certified that Agapito Longoria had executed the instrument. These lands are now within the Norias Division of the King Ranch. Parents: Leonardo LONGORIA and Feliciana Juliana LOPEZ.
