Celso VILLARREAL Ramirez was born on February 25, 1864. This is the birth date on his grave marker. The 1880 Census shows his age as 14, which would indicate a birthdate after June 5, 1865 and before June 5, 1866. However, since Celso was listed before Romana in the "Inventario de la Casa del Finado Don Gregorio Villarreal", my belief is that Celso was older than Romana. Romana's age was given as 16 in the 1880 Census. It appears to me that the 1880 Census reversed their ages and that Celso was 16 in 1880 and Romana was 14. He was baptized in 1864. He died on January 31, 1947. He was buried in 1947 in Eugenio Longoria cemetery, Brooks County, TX, USA.

Another piece of evidence can be found in a Decree of Partition dated May 17,1924 and filed in the Brooks County Records. This decree relates to a legal matter over lands including those currently owned by the heirs of Concepcion Villarreal and Juana Longoria and the heirs of Jose Ruelas. The plaintiff is named as "Concepcion Villarreal Ramirez, et. al."; this indicates that Concepcion's mother's surname was Ramirez. In addition, the legal description of the lands make reference to "the Sabas Villarreal league" in the La Encantada grant, indicating a very probable family relationship between Concepcion and Sabas.
