Some people claimed that Rafael Garcia Salinas was really the owner of the La Mestena tract granted to Rafael Garcia Saenz as well as the La Mestena tract granted to Ysidro Garcia Saenz. Since they were his sons, it is easy to see why people would make that claim. The 3 tracts were side by side and together comprised 15 leagues.
