There was a third marriage investigation (#62-33) on May 17, 1703, this time for the prospective marriage of Francisco Gomez and Maria Rosa Rodriguez. This last marriage investigation made no mention of Francisco Gomez being a widower, so I conclude that a marriage between Francisco Gomez and Juana Flores de Valdes never took place.

Francisco's first marriage investigation on October 8, 1693, notes that he was in the public jail and that he had an illicit affair with Josepha Flores, a mestiza, who was the daughter of Pedro Flores, a mestizo and the natural son of Rodrigo Flores, grandfather of Juana Flores de Valdes. Thus, Josepha Flores and Juana Flores de Valdes would have been first cousins but with different paternal grandmothers. This first marriage investigation notes that Francisco had a son from his illicit affair with Juana Flores de Valdes.

Francisco's second marriage investigation on March 9, 1695, notes that Francisco had a daughter and a son from his illicit affair with Juana Flores de Valdes. Therefore, their daughter must have been born sometime between Francisco and Juana's two marriage investigations, perhaps in the year 1694.
