One of those men with whom she had illicit relations was Francisco Gomez and they had a daughter and a son.

There were two different marriage investigations for the prospective marriage of Francisco Gomez and Juana Flores de Valdes. The first marriage investigation (#7-13) was on October 8, 1693; the second (#7-30) was on March 9, 1695. There was a third marriage investigation (#62-33) on May 17, 1703, this time for the prospective marriage of Francisco Gomez and Maria Rosa Rodriguez. This last marriage investigation made no mention of Francisco Gomez being a widower, so I conclude that a marriage between Francisco Gomez and Juana Flores de Valdes never took place.

In her testament (Catalogo del Fundo Testamentos, Archivo Municipal de Saltillo, Tomo I, page 38) dated September 25, 1699, Juana Flores de Valdes names her heirs as her legitimate daughter Juana de Vega and her natural children: Miguel Rodriguez, Juan Antonio, Sebastian, Pedro and Maria Rosa. Parents: Alvaro FLORES and Melchora ARRIOLA.
