I have frequently been asked to provide
descendant charts or family trees to more easily view relationships and
for others to help locate common ancestors. Although it is easy to
generate such charts with genealogy software it would be impractical to
include them all here because of multiple family relationships and the
sheer size of my database.
It is very easy to navigate through my
database but I do realize it can be time consuming and difficult to
document and visualize a particular line that one may be following.
Therefore, I have decided to include ahnentafel listings of my ancestors and my
wife's ancestors.
[NOTE: In an ahnentafel listing each
individual is numbered (X), that individual's father has a number twice as
large (2X) and the mother has a number which is larger by one than her husband's
number (2X+1). For example, my ahnentafel listing would start with myself
as #1, my father would be #2, and my mother would be #3. My father's
father would be #4 and his mother would be #5. My mother's father
would be #6 and her mother would be #7. Except for the first
individual, each even number is always a male and each odd number is
always a female. Working backwards, one can take any even number
(say #10,846) and know that his spouse is one number higher (#10,847)
and their child is one-half of his number (#5,423). In this example their child's number is odd
and we therefore know that the child is
female. I hope this NOTE helps those unfamiliar with ahnentafel
listings.]
Raul N. Longoria's Ancestors --
ahnentafel listing of 48 generations extending back to the 6th century AD.
This includes the probable royal connection. The file is in pdf
format and is 27 pages long.
Minnie Alcala's Ancestors --
ahnentafel listing of 49 generations extending back to the 6th century AD.
Minnie is also descended from Juan Diego Longoria so what I have of her
line prior to that is identical to mine. Minnie is descended from
one of Juan Diego's older sons while I am descended from Juan Diego's
youngest son; this explains why Minnie has one more generation in her
lineage than I do.
I am also including a few simplified
family charts to aid in more easily visualizing our family lineages.
My LONGORIA Line
My TREVINO Line
My VILLARREAL Line
My RAMIREZ Line
My VIDAURRI Line
My CUELLAR Line
My BAZAN Line
Here are some of my wife's simplified
family charts:
Minnie's ALCALA Line
Minnie's QUINTANA Line
Minnie's GARZA Line
Minnie's LONGORIA Line
Minnie's RODRIGUEZ Line
Minnie's
VILLARREAL Line
Following are family charts showing our
connection to some of the historically significant individuals in our
database:

And finally a chart showing the Longoria
connection to the royal families of Europe. Many of the South Texas
families share this royal connection.
